Seeing as though my hands getting better and im getting itchy feet about getting out again soon i thought id take the time and redo my rigs in my boxes. Up to now ive been useing korda hooks but thinking about having a change so was wondering what make of hooks people use and in what patterns. I have been thinking about the fox arma point hooks as they seem to have a good following.

I myself used korda hooks in the wide gape pattern till i had quite a few straighten out on me, so swapped to fox arma points, that was 4 years ago now, and havent looked back since, never had one straighten out on me, and never lost a fish when Ive hooked one.

I use em in the ssc pattern, in size 6,7,8 & 10.

almost all my fishing is now done with korda widegape hooks. i used to use the long shanks but lost the odd fish and i lost confidence in the pattern since changing to widegape and upping the size ive landed every run ive had.

now using them in size 6,8 10 or less for surface fishing or fishing for smaller fish on commercials:cool:

Cheers for that steve i have been using the wide gape and caught quite a few carp on them but i don't know there's just something about them. So after a change.

Another hook i used to use, specifically for 1 rig though, was the carp r us long shank nailer ( sneered at now ) but i never seen any visible damage to a carps mouth after unhooking one, apart from the hole from the hook hold, never lost a fish on them hooks either.
