frozen lakes-pools

after last years big fish kill due to the lakes being frozen over and not being able to release the gasses do you think owners-clubs will be abit more wiser this year and break holes in the ice :?:

i know most of the smaller pools around here are solid but not seen anyboby breaking hole sin them yet :cry:

If this weather holds for the next few days I'm off to our local pond with a view to trying to open up an area. Fortunately its not a big pond, so an hour at most, should see a useful hole or two in the margins.

thankfully my club lakes are still ice free trouble is the smallest is 17acres largest 125acres imagine having to break the ice up on the big un :oops: :oops:
