• Taswood fishery review

Taswood lakes is in Norfolk with for carp lakes ranging from easy runs water on spring with carp averaging 3-4lb up to high doubles.

Grove lake which used to be easy water has now matured well and holds carp to high 20lbers and will definately do a 30lber before long.

You then have heron lake which is an intermediate lake with a huge lily bed at one end produces numerous 20lb carp and has a good head of 30's you also have pike in this lake running to 30lb heron is the biggest lake on the site.

Then you get to Broadwing which is basically the the season ticket holders lake but they allow 3 day tickets on at one time and the rest are reserved for members carp in here average over 20lb and if you do catch one under 20lb you are very unlucky but this is by far the hardest lake on the complex.

All the carp lakes on the complex are big and open and have enough room for all your gear and then some with some double swims on Broadwing. The gates get locked at dusk and opened again at 7am so security wise its spot on and all members have a key to the gate so if you need to get off during the night they will be more than happy to help you out and let you out.

Facilites are excellent they have clean shower and toilet blocks on site and always have toilet roll in as well which is a bonus and have several running water points dotted around site to save you walking miles around site to fill carrier.
They have fully equipped tackle shop on site have a huge range of bait and tackle and will cover pretty much every eventuality you will come across.
There is a new tackle shop being built at the moment and should be ready for next season.
They have 2 car parks which are big and spacious and enough room to load your gear in and out of your vehicle without any problems.

They also have 2 log cabins on site which can be booked for £250 a week per person and all your angling is included in that price and each cabin has its own tackle shed and car park.

As for fishing prices its £20 for 24hrs and all swims have to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
They lakes are spotless well looked after and brilliantly managed Richard and Sue who run the lakes will help all they can to accommodate you and make you feel welcome.
The fish are in excellent condition and if you could only fish one place in Norfolk Taswood is the place.
