Over the years it seems we are using more and more powerful rods, is this dangerous / damaging to the fish?
When I first started I was using 2 1/4 tc and have been up to 3lb tc but currently using 2 3/4lb which fit my fishing perfectly (Harrison Jazz) they can chuck a bag far enough for me and also nice for playing the fish on but I regularily see people asking for 3 1/4 and above rods. Surely for the majority of our waters nobody needs to be using such powerful rods (also matched with bigger reels and stronger line)
What rods do you use and why?
