First off when was the last time you had a rig checked ? got to be honest here and say i cant remember the last tie i had a rig checked by anyone.

This thread derives fro a conversation that took place on the shoutbox and how some bailiffs who do check rigs could time there action better imo.

Example : you have just set all 3 rods up casted out, baited up, traps set, 1 rod is on a particularly difficult cast and you have it bang on, the bailiff insists he wants to see the rig on that rod.

Now i appreciate the need for rig checking and fully support it, but in that situation, especially if fishing 3 rods you could suggest to the bailiff he picks another rod, no? but then they think you have something to hide...

how would you approach the situation, so not as to cause an uneeded confrontation and do you think that checking rigs and the like before you start fishing would be a better solution ?
