'thus it did not live up to its "approaching a Runs Type water" description that is still shown on its web page.'

you had 1 double, 17x20s, 6x30s and a 40 in week and you were disappointed??
with the weather as hot as that, im surprised you had much at all but you cannot be disappointed with that sort of fishing
Blimey what did you expect 40s all day every day??
Many people who go to France actually blank you just never hear about those trips
Come on, the sort of runs water you're looking for doesnt exist mate

I went to Freedom Lakes - Angel in July with a group of family/freinds. Temps were high (35c-41C in shade) and lake relatively shallow, so the water got very warm and the fishing was very slow. However our group shared 1@15, 17x20's 6x30's 1@41.6. A few pb's were scored but we had expected more catches from a lake when originally reading its web site description. However after our booking / during the winter 6.1 tonnes of fish were moved to another lake (another visiting lake owner told us this during our stay) - thus it did not live up to its "approaching a Runs Type water" description that is still shown on its web page. Groan over - the complex was well laid out and bins / sacks provided to help keep tidy and Mark the bailiff very helpful.

I too was a bit shocked you grown about them catches i know people who have been to some of the best lakes in france for examble les graviers home of the world record 2 people i know went there for a week during peek summer a couple years ago and caught the lowest amount the lake has ever produced resulting in 5 carp all over 30lb. Its fishing you either get a bit of luck (which you did) or you don't

Just to be clear our group of 7 (seven) caught as a total, with one in our group blanking - thus average of 3ish per angler. When booking We had hoped for rod action rather a long session for a possible Lump. It was vexing to hear the stock had been moved after our booking i.e. not quite what it said on the tin. In balance there were good times too - I was pleased for my brother who is vision impaired getting his 2 PB's (with some assistance) he was really chuffed:-)
